According to a report by The Wall Street Journal on March 24, UTC Time, US President Trump plans to appoint several high-profile business figures to a technology committee to advise on AI policy and other issues. These include Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle Executive Chairman Larry Ellison, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.

A White House official stated that the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) will be co-chaired by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios. Sacks currently serves as the White House's director for AI and cryptocurrency affairs, while Kratsios is another technology advisor.
The official said that Trump plans to announce the first 13 members from the business community on Wednesday, including Google co-founder Sergey Brin and Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell. According to an executive order, the council could eventually consist of 24 members.
In a statement to the Wall Street Journal, Zuckerberg said, "The United States has an opportunity to lead the world in AI. I am honored to join the President's council and work with other industry leaders to contribute to achieving this goal."
Dell said in a statement that he looks forward to working with the council to "advance policies that help enhance U.S. competitiveness and national security."
Throughout Trump's second term, he has consistently emphasized creating a favorable regulatory environment to enable the United States to become a leader in AI and cryptocurrency. Several members of the council lead companies that have funded key Trump initiatives. For example, Meta donated to Trump's banquet hall project, and Jensen Huang also made a personal donation.
The White House stated, "Under President Trump's leadership, the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology will focus on the opportunities and challenges that emerging technologies present to the American workforce and ensure that all Americans thrive in this 'Golden Age of Innovation.'"
