TikTok and Apple have reached an exclusive partnership: Apple Music subscribers can seamlessly enjoy full songs.

March 11 – On Wednesday local time, TikTok and Apple announced a partnership. Going forward, Apple Music subscribers will be able to play full songs directly within the TikTok app without being redirected to the Apple Music app.

Playing Full Songs: When users find a track of interest on TikTok's "For You" page or a song's details page, they can click the newly added "Play Full Song" button to launch the Apple Music player within the app and listen to the full version of the track. Afterward, users can continue listening to personalized recommended song streams.

This feature is based on Apple's MusicKit, and all plays will be counted towards the artist's streaming revenue statistics as usual. IT Home reminds users that TikTok currently does not support users playing full songs from other streaming services (such as Spotify).

Listening Party In addition to the full playback feature, TikTok also launched the "Listening Party" feature. This feature aims to "create a shared space around music for artists and fans."

According to TikTok's official introduction, "Listen Parties will create a shared environment where fans can listen to their favorite artists' songs in real time, interact with each other during the event, and communicate directly with the artists. This provides a new, more social way to experience music while deepening the connection between artists and their fan base."

Gradual Rollout: The two new features will be rolled out globally to users in the coming weeks. TikTok recommends that iPhone users keep the app updated to experience them promptly.

To further support music discovery, TikTok also launched "TikTok for Artists," a data insights platform for musicians, last year. This platform helps artists and their teams better understand the performance data of their music and posts on the platform, thereby optimizing their promotional strategies and content creation.
